The Zapruder film as we see it is heavily edited. It is not an unbroken or unaltered picture of what really happened. The weekend after the assassination, the killers had possession of the original Zapruder film. The state of the art special effects that were applied to it in 1963 are crude and readily apparent in this era of high definition video.
