Because most trucks never stopped rolling and if this fraction of trucker participants just stayed home, out of the eye of the public, nobody would have noticed.

These are mainly small operator companies or independent contractors but the big carriers never stopped. Walmart trucks might get slowed down on a highway, but they wont stop to protest.

Saying they should have stayed home instead is the most ridicules thing ive heard yet. The best way to protest and draw attention to this movement is by going home and doing nothing? That would do nothing noticable to the supply chain and the truckers staying home in protest would have been ignored by the media. Its hard for the CBC to ignore when theyre honking outside their offices. Their strength came from shutting down a capital, not threating a supply chain.
