couldnt get passed the text but after trying a few times I was able to sign in without the text auth. maybe it was disabled to handle the crush of sign ups. I ended up using the verification email a few times and finally one got me to where I could set up a name. totally expected for a site under tremendous attack and popularity. I don't care how much capacity you plan for you theres no way to deal with that much traffic, the way they are rolling it is smart, by the time they go full live the demand for new signups should be mostly handled.
