I've never seen eggs that cheap at Aldi, or anywhere else. That's cheaper than they were back in the Depression. My mother could spend eggs at the store at the rate of 5 cents each or 60 cents a dozen back in the 1930s.
Right! This is in Gastonia, NC, egg prices were stupid cheap, and gallon of milk was 1.49 a few months back too. Coming from NY I couldn't believe it.
I'm in NC, and I can't believe it either. Milk hasn't been that cheap here in decades. I think it might have been that low in the 1970s. Even a quart of milk isn't that cheap here.
