In the Bible following the mass Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt when they were wandering in the desert for forty years, Moses sent scouts to The land God promised. All but two came back very afraid and inly two said “We believe with God we can overtake them” (paraphrasing).
Modern churches and scientists claim “oh their weren’t any sizable giants, only seven foot maybe eight at most.
Ever seen Stonehenge burial mounds? They are huge (and protected by the government). The city built under the Grand Canyon is protected from visitors, not for them. Only a few caves you are allowed in, yet people have photographed things of giants as well as huge sarcophaguses and skeletons.
Giant skeletons have been turned in to Smithsonian to display, yet they had them dumped by barge into the deepest part of the ocean.
(From the Historical non canonical Book of Enoch)
Enoch became the principal intermediary between two sides of the conflict between the “Fallen Angels”, and the “Righteous Angels” serving an all knowing deity referred to as “the Lord”. There were multiple issues in the conflict such as Fallen Angels interbreeding and/or performing genetic experiments with humanity, and passing on forbidden knowledge and technologies to the still developing human civilization.
The Book of Enoch begins with the arrival of 200 Fallen Angels in the area of Mount Hermon, which borders modern-day Lebanon and Syria. The Fallen Angels began interbreeding and/or genetically modifying the local inhabitants.
6.1 And it came to pass, when the sons of men had increased, that in those days there were born to them fair and beautiful daughters.
6.2 And the Angels, the sons of Heaven, saw them and desired them. And they said to one another: “Come, let us choose for ourselves wives, from the children of men, and let us beget, for ourselves, children.” …
6.6 And they were, in all, two hundred and they came down on Ardis, which is the summit of Mount Hermon. And they called the mountain Hermon because on it they swore and bound one another with curses.
They are still alive and imprisoned inside the earth and are currently acting as disembodied spirits until judgement day and are controlling many and wreaking havoc upon the world through their demonic spirits. As God has allowed Satan to do.
Numbers 13:35 We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.”
Matthew 24:37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
Genesis 6:4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.
Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Dempsey, that's not what the scripture says.
2 Timothy 3:16 King James Version 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Deuteronomy 13:6-10 King James Version 6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
It's the same with Deuteronomy 13:13-17.
I agree, however I am a Red-Letter Christian who follows the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
As much as I love Saint Timothy, I recognize him as fallible human, far less fallible than most, but human nevertheless. I know his good works and his scripture and I measure the truth of each passage based on almost 2,000 years of human history.
Deuteronomy is Old Covenant Jewish scripture that God stamped out and replaced.
Deuteronomy is not the One True Path to Salvation.
In that case I highly recommend the Doctrine of Christ series posted here. I hope you see a subject that interests you.
