I need help. If i shorted a crypto how do i report it on taxes

Because if i bought an asset at x price and sold it as a cheaper price how would i state i made money shorting it? Hope this makes sense.

I noticed this year that taxact.com added a question regarding crypto. I’ve been using them for years. They do have free option.
