Back in 2012 I used to drive past several gas stations heading in and out of work, I would sometimes see a $0.20 swing in a single day.
Yesterday it went up 24 cents!! Never seen that before
A station I pass on my commute (as in I see it in the morning and late afternoon) went from 3.59 to 3.99 today.
My brother lives in Cookeville, TN and works in Nashville. He called me up when he was leaving work. Sent me a pic from a Mapco he was at. Said 87 octane gas jumped up .40¢ to $3.799/gal. 89 octane is $4.099, and 93 octane is $4.399/gal.
At my local Circle K, near DeLand, FL, prices were the same as in Nashville. Here is Volusia County, it's Bike Week. Started yesterday and runs through next weekend. I expect prices to jump even more down here because of that. It always jumps up about .20¢ or more during Bike Week and College Spring Break.
Wouldn't surprise me if we're at $5+ by June.
Gas has never been more expensive than it is right now down here. Totally unacceptable.
If you take this price and then add 42 cents to the price of fuel then you have the "laid in cost" for a gas station. That includes state and federal taxes.
$3.79 everywhere here in rural Va. today for 87, not 89. Three days ago it was $3.45
Texas is cheaper because it’s closer to most the refineries. Less freight
Thanks for doing this.
