It's interesting, but we're missing a huge amount of data that would be needed to make this plausible. Regarding as a LARP until better cited. But let's theorycraft for a second. What information would we need to dig up?

Evidence of positions of the Ukrainian army on Feb 24th when Putin attacked. Where were Zelensky's men deployed?
Specific lists of targets struck during the initial Russian salvo. There's been talk about biolabs here. MSM have covered a lot of the airfields and air assets. What else? Is there evidence of an attacking ground force of armor and artillery that got hit?
If NATO proxies were to be used, who were they? Ukraine's not NATO. NATO's defensive-only. They get very creative with this to justify things like Iraq 2003, Libya 2009, etc, but in name, they're not "first strike." Who were the proxies? Where were they on the 24th and were they hit by Putin?

Finally, if Putin was responding to a threat like this, why did he not mention any of these forward-positioned units in his 30 minute justification for war speech on the 24th?
