The "cyberattack" scenario is not what it seems to be. A cyberattack sounds like some malicious entities suddenly doing hacks against pretty secure systems and shutting everything down.

Reality: People are very naive and stupid to put so much of their lives and the economy on the internet, for no real reason. The whole "infrastructure" is a mess. It practically falls apart on its own.

Consider how "IT people" are hired. A "recruiter" from a "staffing firm" contacts "job candidates" about a job. The recruiter has no idea what he is looking for, and is just matching keywords on the resume to a job description. The matches are then sent to a "project manager," who has no idea what to look for either.

AND a huge number of hires are from work visa employees from India, and, I shit you not, China.

And you think the problem is a handful of hackers? It's amazing that anything runs at all.

The whole "IT structure" is a complete mess.

DO NOT put your life on the internet. DO NOT use online banking. DO NOT trust this shit at all.

Anyone blindly trusting the internet is a complete idiot.
