So my normie conservative friend is starting to wake up. Ukraine is doing it for him. However, he did hit me with a good rebuttal. Can any of you beautiful morons help me with some rebuttal sauce for him?
Here’s his response to me peppering him with fake war footage and images:
“But I’ve seen so many pictures, videos, stories from individuals that I do not believe the truth of what’s going on in Ukraine could be ‘covered up’ by a false narrative that all major media is a part of. It would simply be impossible to silence everyone and to get all the employees / contributors to work together to put out false stories, etc. Does it seem reasonable to you that any group as large as “all major media” could be in on a lie and be able to actually keep it going? For example, we listen to World News Group—a Christian worldview news organization. Their reporting does not agree with mainstream views in but rather evangelical Christian views. Yet reporting on Ukraine is consistent with major media. So do you think World is part of the conspiracy? I would say there’s no way.”
I guess your friend doesn't realize that it's less than 0.1% of the general population that pulls the strings of society. And many of them graduated from the same schools, and participate in the same clubs, and social circles. Collusion isn't as difficult as your friend likes to imagine, and the motivating rewards for doing so successfully are far greater than his peasant mind can imagine.
