I remember visiting the Oregon coast one year when there were hundreds of mostly small fires burning all over Oregon and it was smoke everywhere. I think it was 2002, when the huge "Biscuit" fire was burning in Medford. There was a fire staging station next to the motel in Gold Beach. Not a single Antifa in sight or even known about. Just an extra bad year when the lush growth from winter rains had dried into tons of tinder.
Hotter years have more fires. http://desdemonadespair.net/2012/09/graph-of-day-average-surface.html
Oregon is really a mess now, most of the forests need restoration. The worse criminals are the ones in government who let this happen.
My in-laws place in Oregon was burned down. I told them it was arson. They said no way. A month later the report comes out: arson! Someone was setting fires up and down I-5.
Those fires along I-5 were a tipoff, too convenient for lazy fly-by troublemakers. The verges didn't seem as well mowed as they used to be. When I lived there, the grass was often burned in a controlled way partly to keep wildfires down, but of course the greenies complained.
