Because we all sat on our asses and allowed the country to get to this point.

Each and every one of us has a duty to be heavily involved in our government, as our founding fathers made very clear. We are all being taught a lesson in what happens when we become complacent and derelict in that duty.

Like it or not, we are here because we all failed.
