This image is from the wall painting on the ride HORIZONS at EPCOT CENTER from 1985 till mid 90's. When I first rode the ride showing the future of desert farms, underwater cities and colonies in space I thought that when I was in my 50's these things would be reality. Here we are in the same corrupt world as when this ride first opened in mid 80's and we are not even close due to the greed and control of these globalists scum. I can only hope my children see this future at this point.
I know what you mean. I was a space cadet growing up and was 18 when the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey" came out. I was absolutely enthralled by the technical vision of the future in that film, which I think sustains itself even today.
Morally, it is tough. One of the more uplifting films is "Tucker: The Man and His Dream" (1988).
