I read a theory that Epstein built that synagogue because some Orthodox Jews believe rabbis automatically go to heaven no matter how sinful they are.

Epstein believed he was the rabbi of that synagogue which allowed him to hurt children in the tunnels below and still go to heaven using that loophole.

I heard a similar theory about the Orthodox Jewish bathhouses in Brooklyn where rabbis created such horrific "child rape assembly lines" that over two percent of the children of Brooklyn were raped by those Jews. Those rabbis believed they could do whatever they wanted and then kick open the Gates of Heaven and spit in Jesus Christ's face on the way in.
