It doesn't say he walked 600 miles; he traveled 600 miles. But what I want to know is, how did he keep that writing on his hand for however many days it took him? All 6 -year- old children I have ever known play in the dirt and occasionally wash their hands.
So I just read of a Marine that his unit could do 30 mi a day. A boy is not able to do this, lets say he did 10 mi a day... this makes 60 days walking. Two months! Not mentioning where to sleep, eat, drink.
So children his age average can walk 2-3 miles a day when unmotivated- it would take 300 days- apparently this healthy picture perfect kid was very motivated!

At his age on flat surfaces, he can walk 10 miles a day. That's walking 2.5 hours per day at modest pace. That's 60 days of walking.
