I think Stranger Things isn't worth a watch. I tried it once, was all hyped up, quit midway through the first episode from sheer boredom. I was so unentertained I was actually crying.

I don't like gay people, but representation can also be done right-ish. Take the final book in the Captain Underpants series. They go to 20 years in the future and see the black kid (His name is George) has a husband. The dialogue does not focus on it and it's not really an important arc of the story.
