What could Moses and his covenant offer but the looming spectre of death? The Law, impossibly harsh, was but a servant, bringing those under it to the inevitable conclusion of awaiting doom. Yet the mediator of the new covenant is so far greater than the Law! His blood speaks better things than the death and vengeful demand for which Abel's blood cried-His blood speaks life!
