When I watched the video of that farce,I was very surprised and alarmed as that guy trickled water on the fuse as the other guy slowly removed the fuse.
I'm no bomb disposal technician but I'm pretty sure that would be a pointless and
potentially dangerous thing to do as the water might cause a short circuit with
disastrous results.

That wasn't water. It was standard Bomb Defusing Liquid (BDL).
Thanks for that tip! I'm going out right now to stock up on some BDL!
It really might come in handy. I'll buy a really big hammer too! Apparently hammers and cold chisels are really useful if the fuse is hard to get out!
