Perfectly clear and no clouds and they announce the testing! My dad was a milk man and I was with him about 3:30AM on his milk route and we saw it. I've seen it a couple more times. Keep in mind I'm 73 and we were definitely in the Atomic Age at that time!

All I know is the dates were between 1953 to 1956!
