I think it could mean that we all have something done to us that requires a medical intervention. Some possibilities:

Mind Control parasites
Nano-circuits or nano-bots
DNA damage to our immune systems which cause susceptibility to cancer or disease
Fluoride calcification of our pineal glands which cripple our spirituality
