I disagree. I just stopped by the bar briefly on the way home. When I loudly said that I thought Putin, while no angel, was in the right on this one, I was greeted with derision. After 10 minutes of truth, like, " Oh, so you guys have been big supporters of Ukraine these last 14 years of war they've been in? Or just since Facebook and the news told you to care?" And "Did you see Russia selling China oil in Yuan? The dollar is fucked!" I think I might have just woke up a half-dozen people, and all it took was a introducing a couple of things well-known to the community here. I think there's a lot of people who would listen and come to the realizations that we have with just a little nudge.
