I’m currently reading a book called “Waking the Tiger” I believe the author is Patrick Levine? But the point of the book shows the connection between our body and traumas we’ve experienced throughout our lives. One thing the author mentions periodically is the ongoing issues of anxiety/depression manifesting because of trauma that went undealt with, meaning the precursor to “fight or flight” which is when people freeze before acting in either choice. Some of us have the moments more often then others. Between dealing with the numerous traumatic events in my life and trying to balance my mental with my current position in life (law enforcement) has helped immeasurably. I have more control over my anxiety and depression because I’m understand what my body is trying to convey or “get out”. I hope you get the help/answers you need fren <3
