Being anxious right now is totally normal. (I'd be concerned if you weren't.)
There are many excellent ways to deal with it, but the quickest technique I've found is to set a hard rule for yourself to only allow worrying for 30 minutes per day, at a set time. Set that time aside, say right after lunch. (Not at night, it will carry over into your dreams and mess with your sleep.) Make a Worry List and keep it with you. Any time you feel an attack coming on, jot yourself a note to think about this at the next session, and then forget about it until your next worry period. Then you will be able to think about it without distractions. When time is up....stop.
Our brains have too many thoughts shooting around at all times, and that makes it impossible to focus on any one thing long enough to come to any kind of resolution. Eliminate the distractions, and ask yourself if you can actually do anything about the situation, and if the answer is "No" then move on to the next issue. If you can't do anything about it, you are wasting your energy for nothing. If you can do something about it, jot some notes for yourself on another list to help you to get started on actions to take.
That's how you can take back your own control. But it takes practice to become automatic, so stick to the formula for a while. Frequently you will find that what was making you anxious is completely changed by the next day or two, and you can just scratch it off the list. (I love those...they show the Plan is speeding up.)
