There are all kinds of body types out there. There is a certain body type (m or f), that glides better thru the water and gives that person an advantage. The rest of it is training, but if you have that wide shouldered narrow hipped style (usually with an extra long torso and short legs in relation) you'll have that advantage that will get you in over someone else of different style but equal amounts of training.

I agree there are different body types but it's probably impossible for a woman's body to have that drastic of a hip to shoulder ratio, so that's the main reason they look so masculine to me.
Just think about if you saw these people on the street and you've never heard about them before, you would probably think they were a tranny. It's just because the news tells us they're women that it fools us.
