OFF TOPIC- Any Crypto (Purchase, Swapping, Staking) experts here?? Have a couple questions
Other Topic
I don’t trust the shills on telegram or discord “offering” help. If anything, I obviously trust this community soooo much more.
YT videos and search engine don’t seem to answer all my questions.
Have a few questions about GWEI (best time to transact and how to easily calculate), staking and unstaking, bridging, etc.
I find myself paying A LOT off fees and gas without benefiting. For example, staking on DeFi costs me gas to stake, to unstake, and to withdraw my earnings/rewards… for example, withdrawing a $0.96 reward would cost me $196 in gas!! No, that’s not even a joke!
I really wish there was some type of “sandbox” environment where I can test certain things I wanna do before I commit. I find myself moving assets around and later realizing I either didn’t have to or I missed something, which would result in unnecessary fees/gas paid.
Ethereum and Binance both have test networks, and you can even use a faucet to get test Eth/BnB
So like a polygon bridge? What if I already have ETH, I’d surly have to pay gas to push it to a test net. I’ll still write you a message, sounds interesting
You can't bridge test networks with live networks. But you can get the equivalent of Ethereum or BnB in those test networks for free. You just can't take them out of the test networks
So you’re saying that these test networks are the sandboxes I’m looking for? Rather than spending real assets?
Correct. Do a quick search and you should be able to find where to access them. I'm working on a BNB token with a developer and we used the BSC test net.
Have you tried Kraken? Based out of San Francisco. The fees seem pretty reasonable. Have been on it for two years.
Yes, I also use Kraken… as a matter of fact, I wanted to exchange about $250 worth of MANA to MATIC in my kraken account and they wanted somewhere around $9 in fees to do that and then another $9 or so when I wanted to remove it from the exchange.
really. I am not familiar with those coins. I guess it depends. the worst fees are on coinbase.
I use the cronos network or crypto coin. The fees for everything I've done have been so low I don't even notice, granted all I do is exchange and stake cro coin. Lots of options with their defi wallet too.
Fantom is the best for DeFi due to quickness and cheapness.

Own your own keys. HODL Theta.
Loopring layer 1 and 2 wallet works wonders if your staying in exchange trading. I personally buy and hoard offline for the most part and if I take it out of my offline wallet it’s for personal transactions not to go back on an exchange.
I usually do the same (buy, take offline, and hoard) though some assets I purchased based on hype and want to exchange and take offline and/or swap and stake
