I cant be the only one thinking the will smith slap is just a publicity stunt to get people talking about the oscars more due to previous poor ratings right?

No doubt about it - there should be a better camera angle - and it proved how GOOD of an actor Will Smith really is I mean he dialed up the Hood Rat character like it was part of his DNA or something.

There was better camera angles, when the tears started in his best actor apology speech.
