Ramadan was traditionally always observed in the fall, as it was named for the seasonal winds that indicate changing of the seasons.. Just one more lunar-timed event co-opted by religion. Now, since the Arab calendar is just as fucked as the Julian when it comes to accuracy, Ramadan is celebrated at the wrong times... Fasting would be much easier when the days are shorter.
