The Inspector General (and others) needs to investigate all lost or missing electronic devices that the FIB lost. How many lost, recovered? What measures have been taken to prevent lost electronics? Who has been reprimanded for lost devices, and how? Etc.

...I wouldn't be surprised if the Inspector General gave his blessings for the laptop to "disappear"....
