We know that God wins, God knows that God wins, Satan knows that God wins. Satan is literally required to give hints towards his evil (I bring this up because I've had someone ask 'what if Satan wrote the Bible?' well, it's because God wouldn't allow that. Deception of that level breaks free will. So if everyone knows that God wins and Satan is forced to disclose his evil, why does anyone choose Evil? I can't wrap my head around it. They know they lose and will suffer. If they repent they won't. How can someone choose eternal damnation?

Many people who choose evil think they are choosing good. I had an ex gf who started getting into tarot cards, psychics, past lives and a whole bunch of other bullshit that brings darkness. Others here have answered "pride" and this is correct. People think they can find their own way to truth apart from God and so they pursue it.
If someone slipped a message under my door and I did not know who wrote it or why, I would never trust the message. So, it always amazes me that people try to tap into entire other dimensions and then just take the message they receive at face value.I tried to reason with her for a while then gave up. The lesson I learned is that someone can have many good qualities and still choose evil. If they are determined to do so, there is nothing you can do to stop it. Literally the only thing you can do at that point is pray for them.
