Yup. Ever since they switched from beef tallow to unsaturated vegetable oil, their fries have been shit.

Yep. For reference, I'm 48. When I was a kid and a young adult, McD's fries were insane.

Then in the 90s, the CSPI started this huge anti-animal fat push, and all the fast food places switched to saturated vegetable shortening. Unfortunately, that had trans fat, so they then switched to unsaturated vegetable oil.
