Currently I am recovering from spinal fusion back surgery which was March 18th. I am trying like crazy to follow Dr restrictions on what I should and should not be doing. Lifting no more than fifteen pounds, is difficult as I want to hold my grandbabies but have been following, bending however is proving very difficult. How do you retrain a 53 yr old brain to suddenly Not do things you have done your entire life? I have been warned that this is my final stop before a wheelchair which is a terrifying thought. Please pray for me, still quite a bit if pain but am improving quickly and nearly off the painkillers and back to my CBD and Ibuprofen 800mg and muscle relaxer only. Desperately wanting to quickly eliminate anything potentially addicting.

I once pulled a muscle in my lower back. Years later I injured my back again, tweaked it. Diagnosis was herniated disc. Never an operation, still, it took me a year to get my full strength back. The reason I'm saying this is to explain my mindset . At some point I came to the realization that all the good 30 some muscles in my back were helping the hurt , damaged ones. They all work together to hold up ,support, the injured ones. Imagined them as the body of Christ, one is hurting ,others gather around, support ,strengthen, speak life, comfort , help the muscle which needs healing.
Over 30 years I've dealt with stiffness and aches morning ,evening, whenever I relax. Remembering to take it slow to allow those 30 some muscles to wake up and support the other. Yes I'm fully healed, yet forever changed.
May the Peace of our Lord keep you thankful , blessings to you.
Thank you. I tried everything for several years until the last two years were quite unbearable praying all the way. I know and trust that through all the pain God was testing my faith as he did Job. I never once waivered. Jesus is my Rock, my all in all and I know God has a purpose for it all for His glory. I want my trials to be my testimony
.....and your testimony is a powerful one, be forever willing to share it ...many will be and are changed by it , for His glory. THANK YOU, sister.
