Did Christianity suddenly begin in 1517?
Did you know that Martin Luther was a Christian Kabbalist, alchemist, and member of the Rosicrucian Order? It’s even in his coat of arms.
Not sure why folks are quick to dismiss 2,000 of Christian civilization & tradition to follow a man who created his own seudo religion & who wanted to re-write & edit the Bible.
So you believe Christianity sprung up suddenly in 1517? Where was it for 1,300 years?
A woman represents a church in Bible prophecy.
The dragon represents Satan.
Revelation 12:13-17
13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
It wasn't 1300 years. It was 1260 years, and it's referred to as the Dark Ages for a reason.
"A time (360), and times (360+360), and half a time (180)" is 1260 days.
Many Christians believe this 1260 days represents a literal 3.5 years of Tribulation because their church is teaching them Dispensationalism, a false doctrine introduced into the American theological seminaries by Jesuit coadjutors in the early 1900s and disseminated from there around the world.
The 490 year prophecy in Daniel 9 actually ended 3.5 years after Yashua was crucified. When the Jewish high priest ordered Stephen to be stoned to death, the natural branch was cut off and salvation was opened to all mankind (the Gentiles). Those 3.5 years didn't magically move to an undetermined time in the future as is taught by most Protestant denominations today.
In reality, a day is a year in prophetic time.
The Seventh Day Adventists are an interesting denomination to study because 99% of their theology is what was taught by mainline Protestant churches prior to 1844. Once you toss out their Investigative Judgment false teaching, you've got a pretty good foundation to interpret Bible prophecy.
Ellen White was a false prophet who followed a Freemason named William Miller, one of the original datefags. Miller predicted the world was going to end in 1844.
After his claims were exposed as the lies they were, Ellen White and the rest of the Millerites referred to this period of time as "The Great Disappointment".
Ultimately, Ellen White took control of the Millerite movement by teaching the false doctrine Miller was right about 1844, even though he was wrong about it being the end of the world, but rather the start of the "Investigative Judgment." This was the start of the Seventh Day Adventist church.
I'm going to quote from an Adventist apologetic site because it sums up the history as they believe it as well as I ever could-
Why the Investigative Judgment Doctrine Is Sound
After the great disappointment of 1844, a small band of Adventists, unable to deny the presence of God in the Millerite movement, came to the conclusion that, instead of the Second Coming, God had begun what they termed the “Investigative Judgment,” now also known as the Pre-Advent Judgment, as distinct from the Final Judgment. Demonstrating biblical basis for Investigative JudgmentThroughout the last hundred and seventy years critics from both within and outside the Seventh-day Adventist Church, have questioned the validity of this Investigative Judgment doctrine. And they still raise objections like the following:
The Investigative Judgment is nothing more than a feeble face-saving attempt to address the mistake of 1844.
It is an extra-biblical doctrine invented entirely by Ellen White.
It cheapens the Reformation gospel of salvation by grace through faith.
It robs Adventists of the assurance of salvation and causes them to live in constant fear.
No other denomination has seen any value in this doctrine, and hence all have rejected it.
A good number of Adventist ministers and theologians secretly believe the doctrine to be false but are afraid to admit it.
In light of these charges, one would think the debate would be over. However, as we will demonstrate, the debate is far from over. In fact, we believe that the critics have no valid argument.
I agree with the critics that the Investigative Judgment is indeed an extra-biblical doctrine.
Here's the verse in question.
Daniel 8:14
And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
Now, in this instance, the 2300 days mentioned are literal days because the word translated from Hebrew into English as "Day" in this verse is וַיְהִי-עֶרֶב וַיְהִי-בֹקֶר, or "Evening-Morning"
Because Daniel specified "Evening-Morning," he's letting us know these are literal days and not prophetic days.
The book of Revelation is interesting in that you need to know the entire Bible to interpret it. If you do, many things make sense that wouldn't otherwise.
Daniel 7:23-24
23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
This is a prophecy regarding the fourth kingdom or Rome.
In Edward Gibbon's historical masterpiece Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, he provides the names of the 10 kingdoms which emerge out of the ashes after the fall of the Roman empire.
These kingdoms were as follows-
Alemanni, Franks, Burgundians, Suevi, Vandals, Visigoths, Anglo-Saxons, Ostrogoths, Lombards, and the Heruli
Now, as Daniel 7:24 states, another horn AKA king/kingdom shall arise after those 10 kings/kingdoms and shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
The Ostrogoths, the Heruli, and the Vandals were slaughtered by the Roman Catholic Church.
Here's proof of that from the Catholic Encyclopedia itself-
Here's another article showing Odoacer removed the last Roman emperor and declared himself King of Italy. (Odoacer tried to name his choice for the Bishop of Rome but was rejected. Ultimately, once Odoacer died, the Bishop of Rome took over his kingdom, in essence subduing the Heruli.)-
This horn or king/kingdom was diverse from the rest. Indeed, the Roman Catholic Church claimed it was both a spiritual and temporal power.
Daniel 7:25-26
25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.
"And he shall speak great words against the most High"
We know the Roman Catholic Church maintains its traditions take precedence over the Word of God.
"and shall wear out the saints of the most High"
We know the Roman Catholic Church mercilessly wiped out Christians who held alternate interpretations to the Bishop of Rome, deeming them as heretics.
After all, declaring the doctrine of baptism by immersion was a terrible crime which definitely deserved to be punishable by death, right?
As far as the prophecy this king/kingdom would "think to change times and
laws," we know for a fact the Roman Catholic Church replaced the Biblical lunar calendar with the Gregorian solar calendar and replaced Biblical feast days with pagan feast days. The Pope also declared Sunday replaces the Jewish sabbath simply because He said so.
Here Daniel also mentions the "time and times and the dividing of time" which is the same 1260 day/year prophecy mentioned in Revelation.
The Roman Catholic Church ceased being a world power after the 1260 years had passed. In 1798, Pope Pius VI was imprisoned by Napoleon, which marks the end of this 1260 year period.
Here's another Roman Catholic source verifying the imprisonment of Pope Pius VI in 1798-
By 476 AD the Western Roman empire was in shreds, having disintegrated at the hands of the invading hordes that picked it apart one swath at a time until it was roughly divided into about ten major parts. Most of these tribes had been converted to Christianity through the efforts of the missionary Ulfilas. Ulfilas, while preaching the gospel to the Goths also preached to them a form of Christianity known as Arianism. Arianism didn’t accept that Jesus was Co-Eternal with the Father, teaching instead that he was begotten of God at some unknown point in eternity. This belief made them divergents of Catholicism and therefore they were looked upon as opponents. When the Arian Ostrogoths under Theodoric took over Rome in 493 AD they significantly limited the power of the Pope. But the Catholic Emperors of the Eastern Empire managed to help the Pope by eliminating three of the Arian tribes. The Emperor Zeno arranged a treaty with the Ostrogoths in 487 AD which led to the eradication of the Heruli in 493 AD. Later Justinian destroyed the Vandals in 534 AD and crippled the power of the Ostrogoths in 538 AD thereby eliminating all the powers that had limited the power and influence of the Pope.
Ok I’ll bite. Do you believe that Christianity began in 1517 with the reformation? Do you happen to know that Luther belong the the secret Society known as the Rosicrucians?
There is a lot of hate for the RCC. Some of it is warranted with the Pedos & Homos, but IMO, many don’t see the bigger picture.
The institution, like many of the West’s institutions have been infiltrated.
