Wow, how big was the hard drive on this laptop?
A TB or or more had been readily available if not affordable for quite some time. My old ass laptop has 1.75TB.
My old laptop has 40GB and Windows XP. It still works well. :)
On the other hand, my desktop has over 100TB. I save everything. So much material, that I only have time to file it by date. I have folders and subfolders covering every day since the late 1980s.
What are you using to store 100TB?
A bunch of 8TB externals. I'm starting to get 14TB, but they still cost a lot.
Hope you are backing up your backups
Many backups on extra hard drives, CDs, DVDs, Blu-Rays, and for really important files I have thumb drives and a secret hidey hole out in the interwebs to backup files offsite.
I also have files on me at all times.
