I'm not saying that's the case with this but I do know deleted info even when overwritten by other data can still be recovered. It leaves like a shadow copy. In some cases even 50 passes of overwritten data is still not enough to get rid of all of it.
Remember, data isn't really overwritten. Bit locations are changing from 1 to 0. All you need is the history of writes and you can tell what state that particular location was at any given time.

Which is why they make programs that write random data at the address of the deleted files. Or in the case of hillary "BLEACH BIT"
Whatever that program is, I assume it's one of he same types.
