This was before Jesus sacrifice and subsequent resurrection. What even most Christians don't understand because the corrupt "New Age" Churches in this country don't teach them is that Jesus effectively and completely defeated the evil one's stronghold on the world and a transfer of power took place. It may seem that satan still has control of the world, but he does not! All those kingdoms that satan thought he had control of are now forever out of his control. I think today what we are seeing play out on the world stage now is the pure evil of the human heart being played out for all creation to see. The only reason satan has any control over anything (ex...world monetary system through Central Banking and the Zionist Jews) is because the unregenerated heart of man worships satan. Satan has a sort of proxy control through the wicked heart of mankind.

However, the good news is that the Lord Jesus told Peter in Matthew 16 that on the truth of His Gospel message He would build His Church and the "gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Most Christians think there will be world government and that satan is still in control of things here. However, nothing could be further from the truth. How do I know there will not be world government...because Jesus said so. The Gospel of Jesus (that pure message of Sacrifice, Redemption and Resurrection) will win over the heart of man as it's been doing for the past 2,000 years and will indeed overcome the wickedness. I think an example of this is how the light of America (which was partially founded on this Gospel Message) has caused a light of freedom to shine in the hearts of people all over the world and we are seeing this tremendous pushback against the evils of world government. People want Nationalism...not World Government!

Unfortunately much of American Christendom for the past 100 years has been brain washed with the false "Dispensational" message of Rapture and subsequent World Government under an single man..."Anti-Christ." Why would Christians get involved in the fight against World Government if the Bible teaches that World Government is foreordained by God? Hence...we are seeing a majority of American Christians stay out of the political domain and the fight for freedom. But this also will change as Christians more and more realized they've been misled by their pastors and again return to the true power of the Gospel Message and fight for freedom and the hearts of mankind.
