That’s is a very good point, 80-90, at least “they lived a full life”, not saying it’s not right, but very good observation. Also, right before my grandfather died (he had cancer), that very last Christmas he stood in the doorway between the foyer and the living room and looking at 5 of his 6 children and 23 grandchildren and a few great grand children said, “the hardest part of dying is leaving your family”.
My point is this, many (not all, of course) elderly have already “died inside” once they are put in a nursing home because it isn’t the same as being in your own home (with your things and around loved ones), they die of loneliness.
