Agree, very similar. I have two 20 x4.5 on the main water (one sediment and one carbon block) I have a post RO mineralizer for taste and some elemental mineral. I have not added anything for taste at this point. But what a difference it makes in the quality of the water.
Ha! I have done extensive backpacking - hiking in the sierras and have had glacial water along with pure spring water, nothing tastes better! I have looked at a UVC setup along with an ozone injection, but at my current house, that would be overkill.
Agree water is critical and going into it, I wanted to get my water and storage capabilities refined. Best thing I have done. Even being on a municipal feed, the amount of shit I collect in my pre filtration validates the need every time you do a filter swap! Just remember to add something to "polish" the water post RO to remineralize and add taste or alkalinity, if that is your desire.
