METFORMIN. Made by Merck, sold as Glucophage. Another possible miracle drug? My struggle with alcohol became BAD over the past five years. I'm not diabetic (tho diabetes runs in my family), but taking this every night has helped me kick the bottle FOR GOOD. Anyone else? TRY THIS if you need it!

Your comments are proof positive why “normies” (as alcoholics call non-alcoholics) will never understand the “alcoholic”. Normies somehow believe that it’s just a matter of “willpower” when in fact there is a physical and a psychological component to alcoholism. Normies aren’t really qualified to comment on the condition of alcoholism.
your assumption is wrong. many have beaten alcoholism without the use of drugs and group therapy. they just don't whine in public about it.
Well good for them. Everybody’s different however. I know many alcoholics and I work with them. Some can beat alcoholism cold turkey without any help and others need more help. But just because they need extra help or want more information about what may be able to help them doesn’t mean they’re whining in public about it.
