I need as many as I can get. I’m on a mission. I want to hand out 1000 bibles! I have a mission. I want #1000 to go to a close family member. On the way to taking it to them I want to set a goal to hand them out to all sinners willing to accept one on the way. 1000 Bibles in 1000 miles! #1000BiblesIn1000Miles

That's quite the story, JB, and a very admirable mission on many fronts. Blessings to you and your family, and I pray that your dad will come to know Jesus, the one true living God. I am willing to chip in a decent chunk, but am curious which version you plan to go with first. I have my preference and and hoping you are aware that not all versions are equal, and in many passages, say the opposite things.

Thank you very much.
I reread the campaign and realized I addressed you as JB, who I see now is the one who started the campaign and that is not you.
I'm glad to see the KJV is one of the finalists. Obviously, it's your choice what you go with, but I would urge you to go with the King James for the reasons that follow. Sadly, I wasn't aware of all of the actual differences until not too many years ago between it and the new (age) versions, which includes the New King James. As I mentioned earlier, they aren't always subtle and often say completely different or opposite things. Then, I believe only the KJV doesn't have a copyright, which I think requires a 10% difference in content. $$$ When a copyright is in place as it relates to the Bible, you legally cannot copy a certain amount of text without providing a credit. Why then are publishers trying to take credit for God's word? When a publisher, like has been done with the NASB, has multiple releases, what are they actually doing it for? $$$
Now for just some example verses that don't say the same thing. I'm not sure if you've ever studied this aspect, but it is rather eye-opening if not. This really needs to be taught in our churches, but since they're virtually all 501c3s (another full important topic) and tied to the government and Baal at the hip, it's no wonder we find our country in the state it's in, though only a little while longer, all glory be to God.
Genesis 1:1: It usually only takes 5 words for newer versions, like the NASB, to start going in a different direction using heavens (plural), which is technically not correct. Might seem like small potatoes at first glance, but God did not separate the heavens until verse 6. KJV correctly uses the singular heaven.
Genesis 1:5: KJV says the first day, which is very concrete; all others say one day, which leaves room for the long periods of time argument when talking about how old the earth is. Quite problematic.
2 Samuel 21:19: KJV says Elhanan killed Goliath's brother, but the NASB says Elhanan killed Goliath. Wait, what?! I thought David killed Goliath. I thought everyone including those who don't think the Bible is real know that David killed Goliath. Different manuscripts.
Isaiah 14:12: KJV calls Lucifer son of the morning, yet the NASB and others refer to him as the morning star. Sounds Masonic to me.
Hosea 11:12 KJV indicates Judah rules with God, yet NASB says Judah is unruly against God. One cannot say that these say the same thing.
Ephesians 3:9: KJV says Jesus created all things from the very beginning, yet NASB and all the rest leaves out Jesus so not to offend and also omits the definite time point of the beginning.
Revelation 13:16: KJV says the mark will be in the right hand or foreheads; new versions say on. What do we know about how the current injections work and the patents and technology within? Undoubtedly, the real mark will be done in similar vein (pun intended!) when the time comes.
There are many other issues, like the number of times Jesus, hell, repent, and so forth are omitted in the new versions.
I was just about to hit the send button on a donation and was doing a bit more research. I don't see a church at that address, or at least a traditional church building. And actually, Google and Bing go to 2 different spots. Are you guys doing a home church, or what is the name of it, if I may?
Thank you, I will research.
And I have studied this issue extensively. The new American standard is okay. You have to keep in mind that these are translations just as the kjv. If we had an original Bible none would be able to read it. Nasb is a good translation that takes nothing out of context, the rest are trash imo
