I have seen a lot disappear over the decades I've had a computer. CompuServe changed their business model and deleted everything anyone had ever uploaded, including documents I'd uploaded (I have backups of my own stuff). Earthlink changed their business model and deleted all the websites they had been hosting, including my own (I had backups). MySpace changed their business model and deleted everything, including my account. None of this is backed up online, as far as I can find. I know people who use FB as a place to keep their photos so they can make room on their phones. First, FB reduces the quality to reduce the space needed. Second, like MySpace, FB won't be around forever.
It's not a waste of hard drive space. Hard drives are dirt cheap considering their capacity. I am downloading tons of content every day and still have plenty of room. I have a ton of stuff stored on my hard drives that doesn't exist anywhere at all on the internet.
So just because you can still find one particular video on YouTube today doesn't mean it will always be there or anywhere else on the internet.
It's too bad you don't have space on your system for one puny video. You're obviously not very wide awake.
Lol well I gotta be honest: anyone who is using a private site like facebook to store their keepsakes instead of an external harddrive aren't the brightest bulbs in the crayon box.
What's the point of saving that video of Mel Gibson? Just to have it? I have no need for it. I very likely never will
So save a copy right now.
Lol bud it's been uploaded almost since the day it aired, 5 years ago. I won't waste my harddrive space
