re-listen to the opening.
No, he’s denying YOUR INTERPRETATION of a verse in the Bible.
Big difference.
Beats me - I don’t know your heart.
But you stated that u/7SFG, who claims more than 144k souls will be saved, is “denying the Bible”.
Which implies that you disagree with him. This logically leads to the presumption that you believe only 144k people will be saved.
I'm sorry you feel that way about disciples of Jesus, friend. I hope you haven't discouraged anyone from seeking to find for themselves the Light and the Way of Jesus, today. There are people on the forum that are referencing the 144,000 but tied somehow to Q. Since this is The Great Awakening, I thought there might be a need to see what the Bible actually says. Peace.
When he says (repeatedly) the 144,000 are virgin jews from the twelve tribes of Israel, he shows his ignorance. The jews come from one tribe. The tribe of Judah. The others are in Europe and the US.
They are spiritual virgins who are betrothed to Christ.
Revelation 14 KJV 1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Zion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: 3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. 4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. 5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
So they are virgins. Guileless and without fault. Firstfruits associated with Jesus.
Matthew 2:13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:
15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.
16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.
17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying,
18 In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.
Matthew 27 KJ 52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
I'm pretty sure this is when they were raised from the dead along with the non virgin Old Testament saints. That is why John saw them in the very beginning of the Revelation timeline, already in Heaven before the Throne.
This is another big mistake all the churches are making. Matt 27: 52,53 occurs immediately after Jesus "gave up the ghost." So this means He was resurrected immediately (not suffering corruption) not 3 days later on Sunday. The prophecy He gave was the Son of man would be in the belly of the earth for 3 days and 3 nights, and He was, raised up and sent to preach to the prisoners in the heart of the Earth.
"They want us divided"
There will not nearly as many giant nosed shekel gatherers as previously assumed.
Revelation has a lot of highly symbolic passages, and that is why there are so many different interpretations of it.
It isn't worth fighting over. What is worth defending is the gospel itself. What is the good news? Who is Christ? Why did Christ come to earth? Why did Christ die on a cross? What is the resurrection? These kinds of questions are the important ones. Solving the questions about the 144,000 is a side issue.
Those preachers always come up with a good story to accompany the offering plate.
How do they connect with Jesus after He rose from the dead? 12 Tribes X 12,000 equals? 144,000. Very compelling video preacher breaks it down and uses The Word to support his sermon. Where are these 12 X 12,000 today? This is a sermon, and mystery with what may be a surprising ending for some.
