I understand the foreshadowing the symbolism of the story bears on the crucifixion/ redemption of the New Testament but I also think there are many lessons in the Bible’s Old Tesrament where we can see mankind repeating itself in its in wickedness, ultimately leading back to the “Days of Noah” when Christ will choose to return again to pass out judgement.
Bronze serpent is actually a foreshadowing of Christ.
Christ appears as a sinner and is condemned as one, even though he is innocent.
The bronze snake appears as venomous, even though it is actually harmless (bc it is bronze).
