Feel about 90% better. I took 12mg once a day for 7 days. Not a medical recommendation, just a personal report.

Anyone have any experience taking Ivermectin while breastfeeding? Ive been breastfeeding or pregnant for years now lol… have a new baby now and probably 20 months to go before I am not breastfeeding (lord knows if Ill be pregnant again too) and I wanted to take some dang horse paste. Anyone have a story or experience? Google says not enough research to say its safe for momma use.
As a lactation consultant, most medications are safe while breastfeeding because they come into the breast milk in small amounts. I assume ivermectin, which is taken quite liberally in underdeveloped countries, is taken by lactating mothers. Since I am now retired, I don’t have a reference book with me, but Dr. Hale is a great reference and can tell you the safety of ivermectin. You can also call your local lactation consultant or lactation support group and they will look it up for you. If you don’t have one near you, here is the local out patient lactation center in a Cleveland, Ohio suburb who can answer your question: 1-(440)-995-3830.
Wow - thank you so much for the resource and assurance! I really appreciate it a lot!
No problem.
I.e. I want to take ivermectin, is it also safe for my breastfeeding infant?
See comment above re. safety of most most meds while breastfeeding. 1-(440)-995-3830 is a Cleveland, Ohio suburb lactation center. They can reference Dr. Hale’s Medications and Lactation and check it for you.
