In the past, it was considered non-therapeutic to reinforce delusional beliefs. Then somehow it was necessary and humane to "affirm gender choices" which were delusional. Now trannies are mainstream because they aren't getting told that their reality doesn't work outside their own head. They are an extreme example, of course.
