Funerals and the act of burial is a creepy, sick, ritualistic ceremony foisted upon a spiritually devoid species to take more money from them (and perhaps, many darker metaphysical elements are a motivation as well). I was going to end this post with "Change my Mind" but that wouldn't be honest. I'm convinced of it. Anyone else feel the same??

I think funerals are emotionally very difficult. In my family we have always cremated. It is far cheaper, private (Immediate family) if that is your choice. You can always do a memorial service later. You can also have a viewing at the crematory prior to cremation (for a nominal fee) for immediate family. The deceased body is present, but hopefully the soul is with God. If family and friends don’t see me when I am living, they need not be there when I am dead.
