OP, let me offer you a better way. I don't think God is on our side.... but we had better be on the side of God. I would much rather examine myself (and others before I join them) to make absolutely certain that my actions and behaviors are worthy of being on the side of God. I can NOT expect God to be on my side, flawed and sinful human that I am.
