That theory is very interesting! I used to hear the mysterious rumble noise in the sky in Victoria, Australia from my house and then one weekend i drove into the woods (far away from houses) to go camping (about an hour and a half away from my house) and heard the rumble noise one morning, except this time it was about 10x louder! That kinda made me think hmmm...the noise appears to be distance sensitive. As if there was something hidden in the woods!
