But the culture of looking the other way and "pay to play" still exists, you know?
I really think starting over from zero is a good long term solution, provided we cultivate the right culture from day one. No excuses, the right policies up front, etc.
building new studios, talent agencies, etc. from scratch far away from the phony glamour of tinsel town. You start with small, low budget films/series and meanwhile you take a cue from other industries where abuse can potentially happen (healthcare for instance), and institute similar policies like never being alone in a room with a child or someone of the opposite sex, and cultivating a culture of speaking up if you see something that's unacceptable.
Films ans shows don't have to be message-driven, in fact sometimes that can be detrimental (see pureflix), although starting with niche markets might be a good starting point, so long as the focus is on making content worth watching, rather than pushing a particular narrative.
I like it. I like Pure Flix movies but I wish they didn’t charge what they do. I can’t get my husband to subscribe.
What’s going on with The Sound of Freedom with Jim Caveizel?
I know the feeling. My dad was an inventor who could never afford patents and those he shared with stole his ideas which are now on the market.
I have come up with several and made some prototypes and even got one as far as patent pending, however no money for patents.
I’m constantly coming up with new ideas that I cam’t do anything about.
Mass arrests, trials and Executions
It's a start.

And to get there?

One of my biggest problems is even though I'm pretty good at coming up with solutions to problems, I'm terrible at implementing them myself, lol.
Literally, i'd be happy being a janitor or something at one of these companies, even though the concept was my idea, sad as that may be.

I do have a few story ideas rolling around the back of my head, but I'm just not good at getting started, lol.
Man that sucks... I'd ask what you're ideas were, but yeah... probably the less i know the better, lol.
