I know not Q related but I am desperate to find help for a loved one.

There is the ATA....but they only have basic resources.

There is no cure for tinnitus....always have earplugs available because UNLIKE the last two years of covid...tinnitus sufferers protect themselves from others...they don't require everyone else to speak softly...lol.
High incidence of suicide from tinnitus, give them your support.
Tinnitus SUCKS, but you must learn that it will always be there as a PITA but not life threatening (unless...well see above.)
"Lectofan" is a great, a non-repeating electronic noise maker to help one sleep.
There are also hearing aids that have masking sounds for patients.
Anytime you are next to someone and have to raise your voice to speak with them, you are probably in an environment that requires hearing protection.
Many have hyperacusis too, real physical pain from common sounds like the clanking of dishes.
Do not dwell on the internet....only bad news. Protect what hearing you have left, and try to live a normal life...and stay busy....an active mind quiets tinnitus.
Anything else, ask away.
Thanks! Actually the internet stuff can be scary. Good to hear others here have it and have found a way to manage.
