I’ve noticed that before masks when I smiled and said hello to babies/toddlers/kids they would smile back, wave back & even play pick-a-boo if we are at restaurants and they are keep looking our way. My husband and I are grandparents now, so we aren’t some creepy folks trying to get kids attention. We only do that stuff if the kids are looking at us for a minute or so, and parents are always aware, and we are in the south people are pretty friendly here. Anyway, I’ve noticed since the masks, kids just kinda stare blankly at me, like they don’t know how to smile back, say hello back, wave or anything. Even when the parents tell them to say hello back they just kinda stare blankly. It’s sad.

This is how we change it
